The Keeper Rules
1. All items previously claimed through the original Keeper site will be kept in the vault until they are reclaimed by their Keepers. Any items not claimed by May 1, 2014 will be considered "released" and available for claiming. They will remain in the vault until a new Keeper requests them.
2. Part of being a Keeper is serving as a "virtual guardian" for your items. While you are not required to display the logo or list your items in any specific place, we encourage you to do so. We do ask that as a Keeper, you remain at least occasionally active within the Trixie community. We know sometimes things happen (that whole life thing), but if you know you'll be gone for an extended period of time, please consider voluntarily releasing your items. Once a year, starting March 1, 2017, we will send an email to all Keepers. If you want to continue serving as guardian to your items, you will only need to respond to the email to let us know. If we do not hear back from you, we will move your items back into the vault. Items left in the vault for 6 months after that time will be considered available to other Keepers.
3. If you are a current Keeper or new Keeper wanting to request items, please make sure they are not already claimed on the Keeper List or in the vault. There are search boxes on these pages to help you look. When items in the vault are released for new keepers, they will be clearly designated as such.
4. We understand there may be a particular item that is especially dear to you, but already claimed by another. We ask everyone to consider the spirit of the BWGs in this matter. If you are a Keeper and someone approaches you about a specific item, please consider "sharing" as co-Keepers. (Hey, Jim and Trixie set us a great example there!) That said, this is not something we are enforcing as policy. It is up to the individual Keepers whether or not they wish to share guardianship. Please do not badger anyone about their items. If you make a request and are turned down, please be respectful of that person's prior claim. The books are FULL of items, ideas, events, and scenes that have yet to be claimed. We know you'll find something for your very own.
5. In the interest of fairness, the actual characters themselves are not available for Keeping. Beyond that, pretty much anything goes. Note, though, if problems arise, we reserve the right to put any item into the vault permanently.
6. There is not a set maximum number of items you can claim, but don't go too crazy. Nine or ten is all right. Twenty-nine, not so much. Save some things for others!
7. Once you are a designated Keeper, you are free to display the logo(s) from the main page on your blog and/or website. If you do so, please consider linking back to the Trixie Keeper page. If you need either of them re-sized and do not have the capability to do so, you may send a request to The Reluctant Monkey.
8. Please respect everyone in the Trixie community by not "stealing" claimed items and honor the intention of this website by making an official request before listing yourself as a Keeper.
Thank you.
