Welcome! What's a Trixie Keeper? The concept is pretty simple. We all have particular scenes, items, and events from the Trixie Belden book series that we are especially fond of or hold in dear memory. As a Trixie Keeper, you can become the "virtual guardian" of these items, staking a claim on those things that mean the most to you.
Still not sure you're getting it? Here's an example: I'm Jenni, Keeper of Moms’ strawberry pin cushion • the sometimes dirt/sometimes wood floor of the clubhouse • Regan’s letter about Dan that Trixie “accidentally” reads • every time Regan puts his big, freckled hands on his hips • Sarah Sligo’s ghost • O’Neil’s Bookstore • Regan's pajamas he walks around the Manor House in after the attempted robbery in #8 • Sarah Sligo’s fake grave marker • the Picasso painting that tipped Trixie off See? About the only limitation to what you can Keep is your own imagination. (With one exception. In the interest of fairness, the characters themselves are not available for Keeping.) Now, this doesn't mean you actually, legally own anything, of course. Trixie Belden still belongs to Random House, the copyright holders of the original series. As a Keeper though, you are free to "show off" your claims on your website, blog, and signature line on forums you visit. If you are a writer, you may want to include your items in a story. Readers? You can thank the authors for any shout-outs your items receive. Before you jump right in, there are some ground rules. Please be sure to read them over before making any Keeper requests. If you are a previous Keeper here to reclaim your items from the vault, you can email The Reluctant Monkey to be moved onto the main Keeper List. Please remember that this is all meant in the spirit of fun! If any items seem to lead to disagreements or contention, we reserve the right to place them permanently in the vault for safe keeping. If you want to be a Keeper, but aren't sure what sorts of items you could claim, look over the Keeper List and Keeper Vault pages. (You should do this before requesting anything, anyway, to be sure you don't ask for something that's already claimed.) Something is bound to spark an idea for you! If you have any questions, feel free to send us an email and we'll get back with you as soon as we can. ~Jenni & Trish |
